SPILL KIT WITH AUTOMATIC PUMP
The waste fluid unit was used to automatically pump out waste fluid from the tank via pipes or hoses out of the premises so that only a small amount should be inside to prevent fire and explosion risk.The automatic system is operated by a float acting on an air servo valve that starts and stops the pump. No electrical connection was used.
The waste fluid unit was originally designed so that airplane and helicopter services would not have flammable liquid inside the hangars.

The spill liquid unit consists of a 30 L. collection tank with a filling funnel with lid.
On the unit is a 1:1 EX classified compressed air driven 1/2" diaphragm pump with capacity 30 L/min mounted.
An air handling unit with air filter, pressure regulator and pressure gauge, as well as an air servo valve connected to a float in the tank
When the waste liquid is knocked into the hopper, it flows down through the coarse screen in the hopper and through the cleanable dirt trap located in the tank. When a certain level is reached, the float lifts and a brass rod operates the servo valve which opens the air supply via the air handling unit and starts the diaphragm pump, when the level is restored the pump stops
The connection of the pump outlet is ½" inv.
A 1/4" stopcock is provided on the top of the tank to connect with the appropriate connection to the premises air system
